Connecting to NextCloud

NextCloud is our internal file server. There are two ways to interact with NextCloud:

  1. Mounting the drive on your local computer. This allows you to access the files as if they were local files on your computer. This is the best way more most staff

  2. Using the web interface. This is necessary for certain tasks, such as controlling file permissions, sharing file or folder links, or recovering deleted files.

Once installed, open the NextCloud application and click “Log In”. When prompted for a server address use files.nimbus.financial

Step 1

Visit this link and click “Download for Desktop”. Select your operating system to download and install the NextCloud client.

Step 4

Once logged in, ‘NextCloud’ should appear in the sidebar of your computers file explorer.

Step 3

You will be redirected to a web browser to log in. This is the same credentials you use for email and for the server.

Look for the ‘Files’ icon at the top left of the screen to browse the files.
